A Siren On A Dance Floor
April 25, 2026
I kiss a woman in a nightclub… or,
She kisses me.
It’s great.
Her body is soft.
Her energy threatens to suck the soul right out of me,
But I like it.
Her siren call reminds me of my own
Magnetism -
The power that must have pulled her here.
I dance with this pull until I’ve had enough.
I finish the night with my friends.
The next morning,
My ego is sick.
I am nauseous
With reminders
Of the man who fell in love with this
Electromagnetic woman
And kept her in a faraday cage.
I hate him,
I think.
I see now that I was never gone,
Only muffled.
This beautiful woman
on this questionable dance floor
has kissed that proof into existence.
for her ~ thank you
