A Dull Day

Slept in,
Rolled out of bed,
Dressed in a hurry.

Raced over to a reiki share —
My first one!
Marinated.

Returned home,
NAPPED with my cat,
Cooked a weird soup.

Walked to the local market,
Bought expensive local milk,
Enjoyed the humid-after-a-summer-rain air.

Ate weird soup,
Pork, sweet potato, cilantro, jalapeño, lentils,
DELICIOUS!

Root vegetables ground you!
Said the reiki folks.
I think they were right.

Full belly,
On the bed with my cat,
Happy.

Happy for the first time in a long time.
